Short Environmental Film Festival

We hosted a short film festival of environmental stories from across Victoria. We also hosted our first AGM and elected a committee for the year.

Sandy Point Sea Spurge Removal and Surfing

We spent the morning cleaning up Sea Spurge along the foreshore in Sandy Point, before heading out for a surfing session in the afternoon. That evening we listened to presentations by Tim Silverwood and Phillip Island Nature Parks. The next day we participated in a facilitated project planning session.

Phillip Island Plastic Free Beach Clean-Up

Location: Phillip Island
When: December 2018
Partners: Sea Shepherd, Plastic Free Phillip Island and San Remo, Lime and Co, the Sheltered Glamping Co. Westernport Water.

We took to Phillip Island’s beaches and helped Sea Shepherd pick up and sort 38 kilograms of rubbish. Following the clean-up we participated in a cultural heritage walk and listened to inspiring guest speakers. We glamped the night away under the stars and ate delicious Mexican for dinner.

Plant and Dance

Location: Bass Hills

Over 60 of us got 6,000 trees in the ground on a steep property overlooking Western Port. Following the tree planting we headed to a nearby property where we set up camp and danced the night away to local bands and musicians.
